حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ لَمَّا قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَكَّةَ طَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ سَبْعًا ثُمَّ صَلَّى عِنْدَ الْمَقَامِ رَكْعَتَيْ
نِ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ إِلَى الصَّفَا مِنْ الْبَابِ الَّذِي يَخْرُجُ إِلَيْهِ فَطَافَ بِالصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَيُّوبُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ هُوَ سُنَّةٌ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Muhammad ibn Ja'far, from Shu'ba, from 'Amr ibn Dinar — that he heard 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar say: 'When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived in Mecca, he circumambulated the House seven times, then prayed two rak'as at the Maqam [of Ibrahim], then went out to al-Safa through the gate that leads to it, and performed sa'y between al-Safa and al-Marwa.' — He [Shu'ba] said: 'Ayyub informed me, from 'Amr ibn Dinar, from Ibn 'Umar, that he said: "It is the Sunna."'
