حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ الْحَنَفِيِّ عَنْ رَ
جُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ مَثَّلَ بِذِي رُوحٍ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتُبْ مَثَّلَ اللَّهُ بِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

English Translation
Abu al-Nadr narrated to us, Sharik narrated to us, from Mu'awiyah ibn Ishaq, from Abu Salih al-Hanafi, from a man among the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ, that Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Accept what you are given when you have not asked for it and have not desired it eagerly. Take it as provision. And do not pursue what you are not given.'
