English Translation
Abu al-Nadr narrated to us, Abu 'Aqil — he is 'Abdullah ibn 'Aqil — narrated to us, 'Umar ibn Hamzah ibn 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar narrated to us, Salim narrated to us, from his father [Ibn 'Umar] (رضي الله عنهما) who said: I sometimes remembered the words of the poet while looking at the face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the pulpit asking for rain. He did not come down until the rain poured from every gutter. I remembered the words of Abu Talib: 'A fair-faced one by whose face rain is sought, a protector of orphans and a support for widows.'
