حَدَّثَنَا مُهَنَّأُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ أَبُو شِبْلٍ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ عَنِ اب
ْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَسَاهُ حُلَّةً فَأَسْبَلَهَا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِيهِ قَوْلًا شَدِيدًا وَذَكَرَ النَّارَ

English Translation
Muhanna' ibn Abd al-Hamid Abu Shibl narrated to us, from Hammad, from Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn 'Aqil, from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما), that the Prophet ﷺ clothed him with a striped garment, and its fringes dragged on the ground. He said: 'Shorten it, for indeed it is not from the dress of those who have a share [in the Hereafter].'
