حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُثْمَانَ الْوَلِيدُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّه
ِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِنَّ أَبَرَّ الْبِرِّ أَنْ يَصِلَ الرَّجُلُ أَهْلَ وُدِّ أَبِيهِ

English Translation
Abu Abd al-Rahman Abdullah ibn Yazid narrated to us, Haywah narrated to us, Abu 'Uthman al-Walid narrated to us, from Abdullah ibn Dinar, from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما), from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, that he said: 'Whoever acquires a dog other than a hunting dog or a herding dog, two qirats are deducted from his reward every day.'
