English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Abd al-Rahman, from Malik, from Nafi' — that the Prophet ﷺ, whenever he returned from a Hajj, 'umra, or military campaign, would say Allahu Akbar three times at every elevated stretch of ground, then say: 'La ilaha illa Allah wahdahu la sharika lah, lahu al-mulk wa lahu al-hamd wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir. Ayibun ta'ibun sajidun 'abidun li-Rabbina hamidun. Sadaqa Allah wa'dahu wa nasara 'abdahu wa hazama al-ahzab wahdahu [There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner — to Him belongs sovereignty, to Him belongs all praise, and He has power over all things. We are returning, repenting, prostrating, worshipping, and praising our Lord. Allah fulfilled His promise, gave victory to His servant, and routed the confederates alone].'
