‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏بَكَّارٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏خَلَّادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جُنْدَةَ ‏ ‏أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ ‏ ‏طَاوُسًا ‏ ‏عَنْ الشَّرَابِ ‏ ‏فَأَخْبَرَهُ عَنِ ‏ ‏ابْنِ عُمَرَ ‏ ‏أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏نَهَى عَنْ ‏ ‏الْجَرِّ ‏ ‏وَالدُّبَّاءِ ‏

English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Abd al-Razzaq, from Bakkar ibn 'Abdullah, from Khallad ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Junda — that he asked Tawus about drink, and [Tawus] informed him, from Ibn 'Umar, that the Prophet ﷺ forbade [nabidh in] earthenware jars [al-jarr] and dried gourd vessels [al-dubba'].
