English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Waki', from Sa'id ibn Ziyad, from Ziyad ibn Subayh al-Hanafi — that he said: 'I prayed beside Ibn 'Umar and placed my hand on my hip. He struck my hand. When he had finished praying, he said: "This is al-salb [standing with hands on hips] during prayer, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade it."'
