English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Affan, from Sakhr ibn Juwayriya, from Nafi' — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'While I was at a well drawing water from it, Abu Bakr and 'Umar came. Abu Bakr took the bucket and drew one or two pulls — and there was weakness in his drawing, may Allah forgive him. Then 'Umar ibn al-Khattab took [the bucket] from Abu Bakr and it became a large one [gharb] in his hand. I have never seen a great hero among the people work as masterfully as he did, until the people had watered [their camels] to their resting place.'
