English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Muhammad ibn Idris al-Shafi'i, from Malik, from Nafi' — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'None of you should sell over [i.e., undercutting] another's sale.' And he forbade al-najsh [fictitious bidding to inflate prices], and forbade the sale of habal al-habala [the unborn offspring of a pregnant animal], and forbade al-muzabana — which is selling fresh fruit [on the tree] for dried dates by measure, and selling [fresh] grapes for raisins by measure. — [Second chain via Mus'ab, from Malik, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar — that the Prophet ﷺ forbade al-najsh — the same.]
