نَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ وِتْرٌ يُحِبُّ الْوِتْرَ قَالَ نَافِعٌ وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ لَا يَصْنَعُ شَيْئًا إِلَّا وِتْرًا

English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Harun, from Ibn Wahb, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar [the transmitter], from Nafi' — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Verily Allah is Witr [single, odd] and loves the odd [witr].' Nafi' said: 'And Ibn 'Umar would not do anything except in odd [numbers].'
