English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Abd al-Rahman, from Malik, from Nafi' — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade al-muzabana [a form of barter sale]. Al-muzabana is buying fruit on the tree with dried dates by measure, and grapes on the vine with raisins by measure.
