Hadith #105
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ
عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ بُنِيَ الْإِسْلَامُ عَلَى خَمْسٍ شَهَادَةِ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَإِقَامِ الصَّلَاةِ وَإِيتَاءِ الزَّكَاةِ وَحَجِّ الْبَيْتِ وَصَوْمِ رَمَضَانَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Hashim, from 'Asim, from his father — from the Prophet ﷺ: 'Islam is built upon five: testimony that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, establishing prayer, paying zakat, performing Hajj to the House, and fasting Ramadan.'
