عَيْبٌ قَالَ قَالَ نَافِعٌ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَا يَبِيعُ بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَى بَيْعِ بَعْضٍ وَلَا يَخْطُبُ بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ بَعْضٍ

English Translation

It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Abu al-Yaman, from Shu'ayb, from Nafi' — that 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "None of you should conduct a transaction over the transaction of his brother, and none of you should make a marriage proposal over the proposal of his brother."'
