English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Ishaq ibn 'Isa, from Malik, from Nafi' — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The parable of the one who memorizes the Quran is like the owner of hobbled camels — if he tends to them he keeps hold of them, but if he lets them free they wander away.'
