English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Yunus and Surayj, from Fulayh, from Nafi' — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ set out to perform 'umra and the disbelievers of Quraysh blocked him from reaching the House. He slaughtered his sacrificial animals and shaved his head at al-Hudaybiyya. He made a treaty with them that he would return for 'umra the following year and would not carry weapons against them — Surayj's version: would not carry anything except swords — and would not remain [in Mecca] longer than they wished. So he performed 'umra the following year and entered [Mecca] as he had agreed with them. When he had stayed three days, they ordered him to leave, so he departed.
