English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Kathir ibn Hisham, from Ja'far ibn Burqan, from al-Zuhri, from Salim, from his father — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'It is not right for any Muslim man who has wealth to bequeath to spend three nights without having his will written and with him.' 'Abdullah said: 'I have not spent a single night since I heard that except with my will written and with me.'
