English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Ishaq, from Malik, from Qatan ibn Wahb — or Wahb ibn Qatan al-Laythi (Ishaq was uncertain) — from Yuhannasa, freed slave of al-Zubayr — that he said: 'I was with Ibn 'Umar when a freed slave woman of his came and mentioned the hardship of her situation and her wish to leave Medina. He said to her: "Stay — for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Whoever endures its hardships and difficulties, I will be an intercessor or a witness for him on the Day of Resurrection.'"'
