English Translation

It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Sulayman ibn Dawud, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi al-Zinad, from Musa ibn 'Uqba, from Salim ibn 'Abdullah — that 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "I saw in a dream a dark-complexioned woman with disheveled hair and foul breath being brought out of Medina and settled at Mahya'a [i.e., al-Juhfa]. I interpreted it [while still in the dream] as the epidemic [waba'] of Medina being transferred by Allah (تعالى) to Mahya'a."'
