English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Ibn Numayr, from 'Ubayd Allah, from Nafi' — that he said: 'We used to buy food from the riders [caravans] in bulk [juzafan — without measuring] and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade us from selling it until we had transported it from its place [to the market].'
