حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُخْرَجُ بِالْعَنَزَةِ مَعَهُ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ وَالْأَضْحَى لِأَنْ يَرْكُزَهَا فَيُصَلِّيَ إِلَيْهَا
English Translation
Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar narrated to us, from Ayyub, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما), that the Prophet ﷺ used to have the short spear [anazah] carried out with him on the day of al-Fitr and al-Adha [Eid prayers], and it would be planted in front of him, and he would pray toward it.
