حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ حَدَّثَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ أَجْلَى الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَى مِنْ أَرْضِ الْحِجَازِ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا ظَهَرَ عَلَى خَيْبَرَ أَرَادَ إِخْرَاجَ الْيَهُودِ مِنْهَا وَكَانَتْ الْأَرْضُ حِينَ ظَهَرَ عَلَيْهَا لِلَّهِ تَع
َالَى وَلِرَسُولِهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلِلْمُسْلِمِينَ فَأَرَادَ إِخْرَاجَ الْيَهُودِ مِنْهَا فَسَأَلَتْ الْيَهُودُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُقِرَّهُمْ بِهَا عَلَى أَنْ يَكْفُوا عَمَلَهَا وَلَهُمْ نِصْفُ الثَّمَرِ فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نُقِرُّكُمْ بِهَا عَلَى ذَلِكَ مَا شِئْنَا فَقَرُّوا بِهَا حَتَّى أَجْلَاهُمْ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ إِلَى تَيْمَاءَ وَأَرِيحَاءَ

English Translation
Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj informed us, Musa ibn 'Uqbah narrated to me, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما), that 'Umar ibn al-Khattab (رضي الله عنه) expelled the Jews and Christians from the land of the Hijaz. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ conquered Khaybar, he wanted to expel the Jews from it, as the land belonged to Allah, His Messenger, and the Muslims. The Jews asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to let them remain and tend the land in exchange for half the produce. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'We will let you remain on that condition for as long as we wish.' They remained until 'Umar expelled them.
