حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ

أَيُّوبَ عَنِ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُخْرَجُ مَعَهُ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ بِعَنَزَةٍ فَيَرْكُزُهَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَيُصَلِّي إِلَيْهَا

English Translation

Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar informed us, from Ayyub, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) who said: 'the Prophet ﷺ used to have a short spear [anazah] carried out with him on the day of al-Fitr. He would plant it and pray toward it, with the people behind him. He used to do this while traveling.'
