حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا صَخْرٌ

عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَبِيعَ حَاضِرٌ لِبَادٍ وَكَانَ يَقُولُ لَا تَلَقَّوْا الْبُيُوعَ وَلَا يَبِعْ بَعْضٌ عَلَى بَيْعِ بَعْضٍ وَلَا يَخْطُبْ أَحَدُكُمْ أَوْ أَحَدٌ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ حَتَّى يَتْرُكَ الْخَاطِبُ الْأَوَّلُ أَوْ يَأْذَنَهُ فَيَخْطُبَ

English Translation

Abd al-Samad narrated to us, Sakhr narrated to us, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) who said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited a city dweller from selling on behalf of a Bedouin.' He also used to say: 'Do not intercept trade caravans [before they reach the market], and no one should sell over the sale of his brother.'
