حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنِ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَ

نَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شِرْكًا لَهُ فِي مَمْلُوكٍ قُوِّمَ عَلَيْهِ فِي مَالِهِ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ عَتَقَ مِنْهُ مَا عَتَقَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Hammad, from Malik, from Nafi' — that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Whoever frees his share of a jointly-owned slave — it is assessed at a fair valuation from his wealth. If he has no wealth, then whatever of the slave was freed stands freed [and the rest remains as before].'
