حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْخَيَّاطُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي الْعُمَرِيَّ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَق
ْطَعَ الزُّبَيْرَ حُضْرَ فَرَسِهِ بِأَرْضٍ يُقَالُ لَهَا ثُرَيْرٌ فَأَجْرَى الْفَرَسَ حَتَّى قَامَ ثُمَّ رَمَى بِسَوْطِهِ فَقَالَ أَعْطُوهُ حَيْثُ بَلَغَ السَّوْطُ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Hammad ibn Khalid al-Khayyat, from 'Abdullah al-'Umari, from Nafi' — that the Prophet ﷺ granted al-Zubayr as much land as his horse could run in a place called Thurayr. He galloped his horse until it stopped, then threw his whip. the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Give him [the land reaching] as far as the whip landed.'
