حَدَّثَنَا عُقْبَةُ أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ الْمُجَدَّرُ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَبَّقَ بَيْنَ الْخَيْلِ وَفَضَّلَ الْقُرَّحَ فِي الْغَايَةِ
English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Uqba Abu Mas'ud al-Mujadhdhir, from 'Ubayd Allah, from Nafi' — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ organized a horse race and gave preference to the full-grown horses [al-qurraha] [allowing them a longer course than young untrained horses].
