‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏حُسَيْنٌ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏أَبُو أُوَيْسٍ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏الزُّهْرِيُّ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏سَالِمٍ ‏ ‏وَحَمْزَةَ ‏ ‏ابْنَيْ ‏ ‏عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ‏ ‏أَنَّ ‏ ‏عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَهُمَا ‏ ‏أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏يَقُولُ ‏ ‏الشُّؤْمُ فِي الْفَرَسِ وَالْمَرْأَةِ وَالدَّارِ ‏

English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Husayn ibn Muhammad, from Abu Uwwys, from al-Zuhri, from Salim and Hamza — sons of 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar — that 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar told them: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Ill-omen [shu'm] is [associated with] the horse, the woman, and the dwelling."'
