Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي قَابُوسَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْ
عَاصِ يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الرَّاحِمُونَ يَرْحَمُهُمْ الرَّحْمَنُ ارْحَمُوا أَهْلَ الْأَرْضِ يَرْحَمْكُمْ أَهْلُ السَّمَاءِ وَالرَّحِمُ شُجْنَةٌ مِنْ الرَّحْمَنِ مَنْ وَصَلَهَا وَصَلَتْهُ وَمَنْ قَطَعَهَا بَتَّتْهُ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As (رضي الله عنهما) — via Sufyan, from 'Amr, from Abu Qabus — traceable to the Prophet ﷺ: 'Those who show mercy — the Merciful One [al-Rahman] will have mercy on them. Have mercy on those who are on earth, and the One in the heaven will have mercy on you. The womb [al-rahim] is a branch from al-Rahman — whoever maintains it, Allah will maintain [His connection] with him; and whoever severs it, Allah will sever [His connection] with him.'
