English Translation

It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As (رضي الله عنهما) — via Abu Mu'awiya, from al-A'mash, from Shaqiq, from Masruq — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was never lewd [fahish] nor did he behave lewdly [mutafahhish]. He used to say: 'The best of you are those with the best character.'
