حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا عَطَاءُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ عَنْ أَب

ِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اقْرَإِ الْقُرْآنَ فِي شَهْرٍ ثُمَّ نَاقَصَنِي وَنَاقَصْتُهُ حَتَّى صَارَ إِلَى سَبْعٍ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via Isma'il, from 'Ata' ibn al-Sa'ib, from his father — that he said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Read the Quran in [one] month." Then he kept bargaining with me and I with him until it was settled at seven days.'
