English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Sulayman ibn Dawud, from Muhammad ibn Muslim ibn Mihran (freed slave of Quraysh), from his grandfather — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would not sleep except with the tooth-stick [siwak] at his side, and when he woke he would begin with the tooth-stick.
