English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via Ya'la ibn 'Ubayd, from Abu Hayyan, from his father — that he said: ''Abdullah ibn 'Amr and 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar met [and conversed]. Then 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar came back weeping. People said: "What makes you weep, O Abu 'Abd al-Rahman?" He said: "What this one [ibn 'Amr] told me." He [ibn 'Amr] had said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'The first sign is the sun rising from the west, and the first clear sign [amid] the people is the Beast that emerges in the forenoon. Whichever comes first — the other follows immediately.'"'
