حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ب
ْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا نَذْرَ إِلَّا فِيمَا ابْتُغِيَ بِهِ وَجْهُ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَلَا يَمِينَ فِي قَطِيعَةِ رَحِمٍ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via Ishaq ibn 'Isa, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi al-Zinad, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Harith, from 'Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from his father, from his grandfather — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'There is no [valid] vow except for what is sought by it the face of Allah (عز وجل). And no oath is to be honored if it involves severing family ties.'
