حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْفُقَي
ْمِيِّ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْسَ الْوَاصِلُ بِالْمُكَافِئِ وَلَكِنَّ الْوَاصِلَ مَنْ إِذَا قُطِعَتْ رَحِمُهُ وَصَلَهَا

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Abd al-Razzaq, from Sufyan, from al-Hasan ibn 'Amr al-Fuqaymi, from Mujahid — that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'The one who maintains family ties is not the one who merely reciprocates [when he is treated well] — but the true maintainer of ties is he who, when his kinship ties are severed [by others], reconnects them.'
