حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَامِرٌ قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو وَعِنْدَهُ الْقَوْمُ فَتَخَطَّى إِلَيْهِ فَمَنَعُوهُ فَقَالَ دَع
ُوهُ فَأَتَى حَتَّى جَلَسَ عِنْدَهُ فَقَالَ أَخْبِرْنِي بِشَيْءٍ حَفِظْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ الْمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ وَالْمُهَاجِرُ مَنْ هَجَرَ مَا نَهَى اللَّهُ عَنْهُ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via Yahya ibn Sa'id, from Isma'il, who said 'Amir told him — that a man came to 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr while the people were gathered around him. He stepped through them toward him and they tried to stop him. He said: 'Let him through.' He came and sat with him. He said: 'Tell me something you have memorized from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.' He said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "The Muslim is one from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe. And the muhajir [true emigrant] is one who abandons what Allah has forbidden."'
