English Translation

It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Abd al-Rahman, from Sufyan, from 'Abdullah ibn al-Hasan, from Ibrahim ibn Muhammad ibn Talha — from the Prophet ﷺ: 'Whoever has his wealth sought unlawfully and fights [to defend it] and is killed — he is a martyr.' [The narrator adds: 'And I think al-A'raj narrated it to me from Abu Hurayra similarly.']
