English Translation

It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As (رضي الله عنهما) — via Muhammad ibn Ja'far, from Ma'mar; and 'Abd al-Razzaq, from Ma'mar, from Ibn Shihab, from 'Isa ibn Talha — that 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr said: 'I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ standing at his mount at Mina. A man came and said: "O Messenger of Allah — I thought that shaving [one's head] comes before slaughtering, so I shaved before I slaughtered." He said: "Slaughter — there is no harm." Then another man came and said: "O Messenger of Allah — I thought that slaughtering comes before throwing [the jamarat], so I slaughtered before I threw." He said: "Throw — there is no harm." Every single thing he was asked about where a man had done something before its proper order, he said: "Do it — there is no harm."' 'Abd al-Razzaq added: 'Another came and said: "O Messenger of Allah — I thought that shaving comes before throwing, so I shaved before I threw." He said: "Throw — there is no harm."'
