English Translation

It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Abd al-Razzaq, who heard al-Muthanna ibn al-Sabbah say, from 'Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from his father — that the Prophet ﷺ ruled: 'A mother has the greatest right to her child as long as she has not remarried.'
