حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ سَمِعْتُ الْمُثَنَّى بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ يَقُولُ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَضَى أَنَّ الْمَرْأَةَ أَحَقُّ بِوَلَدِهَا مَا لَمْ تَزَوَّجْ
English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Abd al-Razzaq, who heard al-Muthanna ibn al-Sabbah say, from 'Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from his father — that the Prophet ﷺ ruled: 'A mother has the greatest right to her child as long as she has not remarried.'
