English Translation
Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar informed us, from al-Zuhri, from 'Urwah, from Abdullah ibn Amr (رضي الله عنهما) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Indeed Allah does not take away knowledge by snatching it from the people, but He takes it away by taking away the scholars, until when no scholar remains, the people take ignorant leaders who are asked and give religious verdicts without knowledge. They go astray and lead others astray.'
