حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ
سَلَّمَ رَجُلٌ يُبَايِعُهُ عَلَى الْهِجْرَةِ وَغَلَّظَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ مَا جِئْتُكَ حَتَّى أَبْكَيْتُهُمَا يَعْنِي وَالِدَيْهِ قَالَ ارْجِعْ فَأَضْحِكْهُمَا كَمَا أَبْكَيْتَهُمَا

English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from 'Ata ibn al-Sa'ib, from his father, from Abdullah ibn Amr (رضي الله عنهما) who said: A man came to the Prophet ﷺ to give him the pledge of allegiance for hijrah, and he left his parents weeping. So the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Go back to them and make them laugh as you made them cry.'
