حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ فَيَّاضٍ عَنْ أَبِي عِيَاضٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اجْتَنِبُوا مِنْ الْأَوْعِيَةِ الدُّبَّاءَ وَالْمُزَفَّتَ وَ
الْحَنْتَمَ قَالَ شَرِيكٌ وَذَكَرَ أَشْيَاءَ قَالَ فَقَالَ لَهُ أَعْرَابِيٌّ لَا ظُرُوفَ لَنَا فَقَالَ اشْرَبُوا مَا حَلَّ وَلَا تَسْكَرُوا أَعَدْتُهُ عَلَى شَرِيكٍ فَقَالَ اشْرَبُوا وَلَا تَشْرَبُوا مُسْكِرًا وَلَا تَسْكَرُوا

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via Aswad ibn 'Amir, from Sharik, from Ziyad ibn Fayyad, from Abu 'Iyad — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Avoid among vessels: al-dubba' [gourd containers], al-muzaffat [pitch-coated containers], and al-hantam [green clay jars].' Sharik said: 'And he mentioned other things.' A Bedouin said to him: 'We have no [other] containers.' He said: 'Then drink what is permissible and do not get intoxicated.' [The narrator] repeated this to Sharik, who said: 'Drink — but do not drink intoxicants and do not get intoxicated.'
