English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As (رضي الله عنهما) — via Ya'qub, from his father, from Salih, from Ibn Shihab, who said: ''Isa ibn Talha ibn 'Ubaydullah narrated to me that he heard 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As say: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood on his mount on the Day of Sacrifice [Yawm al-Nahr], and people began asking him. One said: "O Messenger of Allah, I did not realize that throwing [the jamra] comes before slaughtering, so I slaughtered before I threw." the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Throw — there is no harm." Then another came and said: "O Messenger of Allah, I did not realize that slaughtering comes before shaving, so I shaved before I slaughtered." the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Slaughter — there is no harm." That day I did not hear him asked about any matter that a person might forget or not know — concerning doing some rites before others and the like — except that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Do it — there is no harm."'
