English Translation

It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via Waki', from Mis'ar and Sufyan, from Sa'd ibn Ibrahim, from Humayd ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Awf — (raised to the Prophet ﷺ by Sufyan but kept as Ibn 'Amr's own statement by Mis'ar) — he said: 'Among the major sins is for a man to curse his own parents.' They said: 'How can a man curse his own parents?' He said: 'He curses another man's father, and that man curses his father. And he curses another man's mother, and that man curses his mother.'
