حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا رِشْدِينُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ
أَبِي رُقَيَّةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا عَدْوَى وَلَا طِيَرَةَ وَلَا هَامَةَ وَلَا حَسَدَ وَالْعَيْنُ حَقٌّ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As (رضي الله عنهما) — via Qutayba, from Rishdayn ibn Sa'd, from al-Hasan ibn Thawban, from Hisham ibn Abi Ruqayya — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'There is no [unlawful] contagion ['adwa], no evil omen [tiyara], no hama [the owl harboring the spirit of the slain, a pre-Islamic superstition], and no [unlawful] envy — but the evil eye is real.'
