English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Hushaym, from Zakariyya, from al-Sha'bi — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When an animal is held as a pledge [marhuna], its fodder is the responsibility of the one holding the pledge [al-murtahin]. The milk of the milking animal may be drunk, and the one who drinks it bears its expense. And he may ride it.'
