It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As (رضي الله عنهما) — via Yahya, from Ibn Lahi'a, from 'Abdullah ibn Hubayra, from Abu Hubayra al-Kala'i — that he said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to us one day and said: "Indeed my Lord has forbidden me wine, al-maysir [gambling], al-kuba [drum] — and He has commanded me not to add to the prayer of Dawud [i.e., to fast alternate days and pray alternating nights]."'
