Hadith #93
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا حُيَيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا اضْطَجَعَ لِلنَّوْمِ يَقُولُ بِاسْمِكَ رَبِّ وَضَعْتُ جَنْبِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي ذَنْبِي
English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (رضي الله عنهما) — via Hasan, from Ibn Lahi'a, from Huyayy ibn 'Abdullah, from Abu 'Abd al-Rahman al-Hubuli — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he lay down to sleep, used to say: 'In Your name, my Lord, I have laid my side — so forgive me my sin, and keep the devil away from me, and return my soul [to me] if You take it, and protect it with what You protect Your righteous servants.'
