English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Sufyan, from Abu al-Zinad and Ibn 'Ajlan, from al-A'raj — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'No one is wounded in the way of Allah — and Allah knows best who is truly wounded in His path — except that he comes on the Day of Resurrection and his wound is gushing [yath'abu] with blood: its color the color of blood, and its scent the scent of musk.' [Sufyan narrated it at one time separately from Abu al-Zinad alone.]
