حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ

صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا اطَّلَعَ وَقَالَ مَرَّةً لَوْ أَنَّ امْرَأً اطَّلَعَ بِغَيْرِ إِذْنِكَ فَحَذَفْتَهُ بِحَصَاةٍ فَفَقَأْتَ عَيْنَهُ مَا كَانَ عَلَيْكَ جُنَاحٌ

English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Hurayra (رضي الله عنه) — via Sufyan, from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj — that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'If a man' — and on another occasion: 'a person' — 'were to peep in at you without your permission and you threw a pebble at him and gouged out his eye, there would be no sin [junah] on you.'
